Shopping

Lately, I've been a little depressed and I didn't feel like posting at all.
So today I'm writing an easy article to lighten the mood.

A few days ago, I've gone shopping with my mom, who actually forced me. She told me, if I wasn't getting rid of some of the old, wornout clothes in my closet and get new ones, she would burn down the whole thing herself.
Maybe it's hard to believe, because I'm a girl and everything ... but I just don't like shopping very much. You need a while to find something good, have to find the right size (which isn't easy at all!), see you in the unflattering light of a changing room, work your butt off to get out and in the clothes and in the end you actually have to pay for the whole torture!

Anyway ... I've gotten some really cute things! I was going for some clothes, that I could combine with normal clothes, Lolita and everything else! So this is, what I've bought:

Two white cardigans (or more creme? hard to tell!). The first one is from Zero, the other second from Street One. They look so similar, but there are some differences, e.g. the neckline:

I really like them! I've also got this anthracite cardigan, it's Street One as well. At first I thought it looked like for a funeral, but the clothing is so soft! I had to have it!

And finally the skirt is from Zero, too. I've got this, because I don't have a black skirt! Well ... actually, I have two, but the one is a tight mini and the other one is a long corduroy one ... this one has the perfect length AND it's really flattering. I like it. :)

Well, then BYE BYE! I hope I can post some more soon.

Short Pants

Hey everybody! Almost a week ago, I've went out to buy me a pair of short pants. Because ... well ... I had none. It's so simple, it has nothing to do with style and there's no cute story to it. All I had were long pants and I remember, last year we sometimes had like 40°C. My knees need to breath!

Only a few years ago, I would have never made this decision, because I'm a fatty-chan (I guess you're not supposed to call yourself like that ... but I really like it oO) and my self-esteem was like low low low low low low low.
It took me some time to realize, that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. You can weigh 90lbs or 200lbs and you can still be the greatest woman on earth. If you feel you need to lose weight to be a better woman, it doesn't matter what your size will be, there'll always be something missing.

Okay, I'm not one of the people, who say: "As long as you're happy." I'm saying: "As long as you're healthy." And yes, you can be a little chubby and still be healthy! There are also people, who are a little too thin, but they're healthy. Of course there's also the other side.
I just don't like people to think, you weigh like 10lbs more than you should, well then you're slightly obese and need to think about diabetes and such things. I hate that! It's ridiculous!

Eeeeh, but I was trying to say with this post ... here are my new pants:

Haha, these shoes. I have them for years now and I never wear them, because I can't walk in them. It hurts! But they're pink mules with tiny pink bows on them. It's awesome. Well, I know they don't fit the pants, but I wanted to wear them! I guess, I'm G.I. Barbie.

Tokyo Style Check: July 2011

July (and midsummer) are rapidly approaching. Time to check what people might be wearing on the streets of Tokyo!

60s are back! Whether you like the easygoing Hippie style or the girly Student style, plaincolored is a must!
If you want some colorful eyecatcher you can add pattern accessories, but always in combination with muted colors! Blue is a great color this summer.

When it comes to skirts and dresses, there are good news for people, who don't like their legs! Long skirts are hip this summer (do people actually say hip ... maybe I'm not hip anymore?oO) ! They're great to slim strong legs!

For shoes: Sandals. Girly or casual, but alway high-heeled!

Bags with big prints are also great accessories! Dots, patterns, texts ... just BIG!

Finally it's summer. And summer means festivals! Festivals mean Yukata! Flower prints are an all-time favourite.

I hope, you liked it and maybe got some helpful tipps?
Please tell me, what are your trend for July?

Lolita Secrets

A few days ago, I wrote about the website Gyaru Secrets, that bashes gals and asked, if there were similiar sites.
There are.

Today I've found Lolita Secrets, which is basically the same sites, just that they're bashing Lolitas not gals. Easy, huh?

So, apparently there are 6 rules:

1. You're not allowed to have a boyfriend.
2. You're not allowed to buy from bodyline
3. You're not allowed to go to the toilet in Lolita (excuse me?!)
4. You're not allowed to wear anything cheap or handmade, only brand like Angelic Pretty.
5. You're not allowed to be chubby. (They all have this rule ... maybe except for, I don't know, Sumo Secrets?)
6. You're not allowed to be OTT (over the top).

Not so easy, huh? What can I say? To me, most of it is sorta bs... maybe it's because I was born as a girl, who actually has to work for money, but I hate the rule, that you can't wear low price or handmade stuff. Angelic Pretty and all that stuff costs a FORTUNE. Call me cheap, but I wan't to like eat on a daily basis, instead of having cute dresses.

I don't understand rules for fashion at all. Fashion is supposed to be fun. It's all about showing your personality, creativity and beauty ... but buying all the same dresses, wigs, accessories, that just makes you a lemming.
You like bodyline? Just go ahead and shop there ... having a bodyline dress won't make you any less intelligent or cute or wonderful in character. In just makes you someone, who knows how to prioritize (like thinking a little further than the next 2 months, when you might need money).

I don't claim to be a Lolita ... I'm just working as a model (it's so great and I love it so much, thank you boss), but I'm not hardcore. So maybe I'm not the right person to write about this. But still I'm intelligent enough to realize when something goes very wrong...

Gyaru Secrets

Lately a friend of mine told me a lot about a site called "Gyaru Secrets", so of course I had to check it out.

First of all, I am not gal and I don't want to be (because basically they're creeping me out, your hair shouldn't look like a middle class family could live in there). Plus, I'm a little chubby and I don't feel like losing like lot of pounds to look like a praying mantis. But besides that, I respect other tastes and in my opinion every one can look the way he or she likes. Who cares? Fluffy hair doesn't make you a bad person.

So I was really surprised, that Gyaru Secrets obviously doesn't share my opinion. Ignoring, that there is no secret in a open-to-everyone blog, they're really ... mean. Their national sport seems to be bashing other people. When you call yourself a gal you're free to be bashed (their words, not mine). They pick pics (haha) and tell the girls how fat or ugly they look in their opinion. Getting high by putting others down, that's only prove of low self-esteem.

My friend, who wants to be a gal without being so grim,  is not so fond of Gyaru Secrets and now scared to appear on the site.
Seriously, people are actually scared to appear on that site! It's not funny anymore! If you want a blog about fashion, you should make it a fun site, that people like to visit ... not a site that people only check to see if they've been bashed or not. Even if I'd think about being a gal, I would be to scared about the site ...

I'm curious if there are similar sites about Lolitas? Or Punk? Or Visus? Or ... well, whatever there is. Are there?

Being A Lolita Model

What can I see? During my time growing up I had a lot of things I've wanted to achieve. Actress, lawyer, teacher, Morning Musume Member, stewardess, journalist, singer, archeologist and finally an author. I've never wanted to be a model. Basically because I'm not skinny and never was. Why am I not on a diet? Because I like to eat!
So imagine my suprise, when I got asked to be a model for lolita fashion! With my group, we can try out clothes and blog about them. Really a good thing, especially because I like the idea of models of every height, size and shape. Not every women in the world looks the same so fashion should be presented by various kinds of bodies, too! Don't you think??

Well then! Let's what it'll be.
