Short Pants

Hey everybody! Almost a week ago, I've went out to buy me a pair of short pants. Because ... well ... I had none. It's so simple, it has nothing to do with style and there's no cute story to it. All I had were long pants and I remember, last year we sometimes had like 40°C. My knees need to breath!

Only a few years ago, I would have never made this decision, because I'm a fatty-chan (I guess you're not supposed to call yourself like that ... but I really like it oO) and my self-esteem was like low low low low low low low.
It took me some time to realize, that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. You can weigh 90lbs or 200lbs and you can still be the greatest woman on earth. If you feel you need to lose weight to be a better woman, it doesn't matter what your size will be, there'll always be something missing.

Okay, I'm not one of the people, who say: "As long as you're happy." I'm saying: "As long as you're healthy." And yes, you can be a little chubby and still be healthy! There are also people, who are a little too thin, but they're healthy. Of course there's also the other side.
I just don't like people to think, you weigh like 10lbs more than you should, well then you're slightly obese and need to think about diabetes and such things. I hate that! It's ridiculous!

Eeeeh, but I was trying to say with this post ... here are my new pants:

Haha, these shoes. I have them for years now and I never wear them, because I can't walk in them. It hurts! But they're pink mules with tiny pink bows on them. It's awesome. Well, I know they don't fit the pants, but I wanted to wear them! I guess, I'm G.I. Barbie.

Melody in Black Lolita

He~~~y everybody!

Today I finally published a new post on Subarashi Girls.
The new pictures show me in a classic lolita outfit, which I really like! It's not that fancy and rather simple, but I like it so much. Don't ask me why, I just do.

I also had my first wig on ... maybe not the best choice, I've got better ones. But I edited to look like a little bit pop arty... just a little bit. I'd rather have it in dark red ... but it's part of the job and I'm fine with it. This is my second all black&white dress ... and I really hope my closet won't look like a 30s movie...

I only have one dress left to write about (some girls have none!) and I hope our boss will get us some new things soon...

The Art of Cooking ... and Cookbooks

Being a cooking genius is not easy. It's actually not the cooking itself, it's everything that's involved. You gotta be charmin, relaxed, fast, clean and good looking. You have to be the Greta Garbo of filleting, the Audrey Hepburn of poaching and a roux queen. Then you're a real genius and I'm respectfully tipping my hat to you.

I'm not a genius. I've learned to cook, because basically I like to eat. And I'm really good at it! Eating ... Only one woman in my family cooks, which is my grandmother, and with my mom never really interested in anything stove related, I had to do the work myself. My granny likes German cuisine and she's passed 80 a few years ago, so she's not interested in trying new stuff. I love new stuff! I don't care if it turns out to be a desaster, at least I've tried! Despite the fact I'm German and quite satisfied with it, I don't like our food. When it comes to knuckles, I'm the one, who rather takes to my heels.

So I've decided, I need a project. A cooking project, something, that keeps my mind off the clouds. I've bought two cookbooks:
Julia Child - Mastering the Art of French Cooking, which would be a challenge, since it is in English only and has no pictures (oh come on!) in it:

But it has been done. Most of you know about, read the blog, the book or watched the movie. So I guess it's not the one, but I still want to try something out ... that boeuf bourginon seems to be it!

And 1000 Recipes To Try Before You Die

It's big, it's international, I think it might be the book. Too bad, it's not classy and fancy and glamorous or anything special to the world! Plus it's actually a 1000 recipes! With one each day, it would take like 3 years and yeah, I'm honest, I'd be loosing track very quickly.

I don't know a lot of older, international famous cookbooks ... I wish I would. Google just tells me about books from the 18th century, which is ...with all necessary respect ... just TOO old.
