Pink Power Lolita

Our new Subarashi dresses arrived today and with them came our new Renai Revolution Morning Musume Moonlight Night Super Pink Outfits! Yes, it's a long name!

They're so pretty, that I needed to take a picture right away.

I'm not styled and the quality is low (bad light) and my hair is still in sporty shape ... but it's just such a cute dress! Maybe a little short for me ... but who cares! When I drop something I just let it be.

It's from the brand Red Queen Black Legion and you can buy it here. The site may be in German, but the contact is in English as well! So you can just write them an email and get the dress to whereever you live! And it's really inexpensive.
They also have a lot of other fashion at Subarashi.de.

Doll Princess Photo Shoot

So, today I made new pictures for Subarashi Girls.

I wanted to do an indoor shooting for so long, but I was always unsure about the right location and the light and the theme. And it actually was very difficult, because that little room was so dark! I had to work with flashlight, what never turns out well and then edit the pictures immensly. But in the end, they're quite good. I think. Maybe a little blueish, don't you think?
So yeah, of course I can't show you all of my pictures, because they' re due in two weeks. You gotta follow Subarashi Girls if you want to see more. But I can give you a little sneak peek!

Melody in Black Lolita

He~~~y everybody!

Today I finally published a new post on Subarashi Girls.
The new pictures show me in a classic lolita outfit, which I really like! It's not that fancy and rather simple, but I like it so much. Don't ask me why, I just do.

I also had my first wig on ... maybe not the best choice, I've got better ones. But I edited to look like a little bit pop arty... just a little bit. I'd rather have it in dark red ... but it's part of the job and I'm fine with it. This is my second all black&white dress ... and I really hope my closet won't look like a 30s movie...

I only have one dress left to write about (some girls have none!) and I hope our boss will get us some new things soon...

Nanchatte Renai Classic Lolita

I know, I said I'm not a lolita just a few posts ago. And I'm not! Just sometimes ... for work. I don't claim to be a lolita, but I love to dress up in antique style ... maybe because I have some wide hips, which are concealed by the rococo style.

This is the most recent dress:

I really love the Morning Musume kinda Nanchatte Renai vibe. It's not the most practical dress, but it looks so great with few efforts.

I'm not going to wear it too often though. It's just not very comfortable ... too bad!

What do you think?

I actually like classic lolita best, but I also LOVE sweet lolita. Sadly, I feel I'm too tall for the last one. Still, dressing up is fun.

Lolita Secrets

A few days ago, I wrote about the website Gyaru Secrets, that bashes gals and asked, if there were similiar sites.
There are.

Today I've found Lolita Secrets, which is basically the same sites, just that they're bashing Lolitas not gals. Easy, huh?

So, apparently there are 6 rules:

1. You're not allowed to have a boyfriend.
2. You're not allowed to buy from bodyline
3. You're not allowed to go to the toilet in Lolita (excuse me?!)
4. You're not allowed to wear anything cheap or handmade, only brand like Angelic Pretty.
5. You're not allowed to be chubby. (They all have this rule ... maybe except for, I don't know, Sumo Secrets?)
6. You're not allowed to be OTT (over the top).

Not so easy, huh? What can I say? To me, most of it is sorta bs... maybe it's because I was born as a girl, who actually has to work for money, but I hate the rule, that you can't wear low price or handmade stuff. Angelic Pretty and all that stuff costs a FORTUNE. Call me cheap, but I wan't to like eat on a daily basis, instead of having cute dresses.

I don't understand rules for fashion at all. Fashion is supposed to be fun. It's all about showing your personality, creativity and beauty ... but buying all the same dresses, wigs, accessories, that just makes you a lemming.
You like bodyline? Just go ahead and shop there ... having a bodyline dress won't make you any less intelligent or cute or wonderful in character. In just makes you someone, who knows how to prioritize (like thinking a little further than the next 2 months, when you might need money).

I don't claim to be a Lolita ... I'm just working as a model (it's so great and I love it so much, thank you boss), but I'm not hardcore. So maybe I'm not the right person to write about this. But still I'm intelligent enough to realize when something goes very wrong...

Gyaru Secrets

Lately a friend of mine told me a lot about a site called "Gyaru Secrets", so of course I had to check it out.

First of all, I am not gal and I don't want to be (because basically they're creeping me out, your hair shouldn't look like a middle class family could live in there). Plus, I'm a little chubby and I don't feel like losing like lot of pounds to look like a praying mantis. But besides that, I respect other tastes and in my opinion every one can look the way he or she likes. Who cares? Fluffy hair doesn't make you a bad person.

So I was really surprised, that Gyaru Secrets obviously doesn't share my opinion. Ignoring, that there is no secret in a open-to-everyone blog, they're really ... mean. Their national sport seems to be bashing other people. When you call yourself a gal you're free to be bashed (their words, not mine). They pick pics (haha) and tell the girls how fat or ugly they look in their opinion. Getting high by putting others down, that's only prove of low self-esteem.

My friend, who wants to be a gal without being so grim,  is not so fond of Gyaru Secrets and now scared to appear on the site.
Seriously, people are actually scared to appear on that site! It's not funny anymore! If you want a blog about fashion, you should make it a fun site, that people like to visit ... not a site that people only check to see if they've been bashed or not. Even if I'd think about being a gal, I would be to scared about the site ...

I'm curious if there are similar sites about Lolitas? Or Punk? Or Visus? Or ... well, whatever there is. Are there?

Eat, Pray, Love

Alright everybody, I'm back ... I haven't blogged in quite some time, right? Sorry for that.

This month was my birthday, my group had a performance and college application started. Lots of stress!

To compensate I've read quite some interesting books. Currently I'm reading "Eat, Pray, Love", which got very famous thanks to Julia Roberts. She's that actress with the big smile, that made some good, some not so good movies.
But it's really a great book. It comes off as a cliché women's book but actually is so much more! I feel like the author is directly speaking to me. And although I'm not very religious, I now want a spiritual experience just like Liz. I feel a lot like and with her.
In 2008 I've been to Japan because I love traveling and wanted a special experience of my own. Sadly it didn't went very well and I can't travel very much since, but I've never lost my faith in future. I want to travel again to lots of countries, meet varous different people and of course eat good food.
Well, first I have to get something like a private life...

Work is going quite fine. I thought I would have immense trouble to be a model, but it's alright! It's so much fun and I love getting mail! Like getting birthday presents every month without getting any older - perfect for me! The dresses are all so beautiful!

Lolita Coat

As I've told you before, I'm now a Lolita fashion model (I told you, didn't I?) and and finally got my first pics on April, 25th. Yesterday I even got the next two outfits! It's so great!! But since we have to make much more pics than everyone just once a month, it's like it's becoming real work, not just fun. I still know now what it's like to love your job. We're getting promoted quite a lot and May, 1. is our big premerie at our boss' website. I'm really nervous that people may not like us and our pics, because they think they know cuter girls, more talented girls or just less stupid girls. Who knows, internet makes people mean!

This is one of my pics:

It sure is cute... but a friend told me, it's not looking like me! Is that good or bad? Does it mean, I'm not pretty enough in real life? I was way to afraid to ask though...

Being A Lolita Model

What can I see? During my time growing up I had a lot of things I've wanted to achieve. Actress, lawyer, teacher, Morning Musume Member, stewardess, journalist, singer, archeologist and finally an author. I've never wanted to be a model. Basically because I'm not skinny and never was. Why am I not on a diet? Because I like to eat!
So imagine my suprise, when I got asked to be a model for lolita fashion! With my group, we can try out clothes and blog about them. Really a good thing, especially because I like the idea of models of every height, size and shape. Not every women in the world looks the same so fashion should be presented by various kinds of bodies, too! Don't you think??

Well then! Let's what it'll be.
