At night they fly, you better run

So, tomorrow is New Year's eve and I wish all of you the best!
Truth is ... I'm f*cking exhausted! It's like after my two weeks of vacation, I'm even more tired than before.
Every night I'm sleeping like a dead one, but when I wake up I don't feel a bit rested ... maybe I'm a little ill or something ... or maybe I'm sleep walking, wouldn't be the first time.
I'm also hallucinating from time to time at night ... never happens when I'm fully awake, only in the middle of the night, when I'm in the place between awakening and sleeping, then I see things...
I guess my subconsciousness is trying to talk to me and it seems to be important. What is it, that's on my mind, so perfectly oppressed, it can only come to me at night?
Weird. Really weird.

End of the year

Oh well, Christmas is over and I'm really pumped out...

Also, my holidays aren't very relaxing. I might have had one week more of free days, but every day is filled with book reports, reviews, discussion papers or oral presentation. It's like school's mocking me: "You have more free days to work at home!"

And worse: First schoolday in the new year will be January, 2nd ... every prof canceled its lesson ... except for the first one, which is at 8am! I'm so pissed. -_-

But before that, there are a few days left, that I can use to ... uh ... learn... I hate my life.

New Year's Eve is near, too. Somehow, this year I didn't make any plans at all and let it just coming. Really a lot of people asked me, if I wanted to join them and I was always like: "Ah, well, I'll think about it", because I had my mind somewhere else in the clouds.

Now I kinda missed the train, damn it! oO
Let's see, what I'm going to do about it...

Oh and by the way, check this out! The best Christmas Carol (although Christmas is over ... ah, what the heck) in the world:

26th and gifts

Well, Christmas is almost over and I'm a bit sad... Christmas is always too short ... but maybe that's not too bad, since more Christmas would mean more eating ... and you can actually say, that the Christmas mood stays until the end of the year, right?

So today, we went to a Chinese restaurant. I really like Chinese and while eating I'm in heaven ... but in the end, I feel like everything tasted similar. If I remember correctly, food in China tasted more differently, but it's been some years and maybe I'm wrong.

What we had, clockwise starting from the white bowl at 12 'o clock: mabodofu (very spicy tofu with ground meat), sukiyaki beef, sweet 'n sour pork, gong bao chicken (spicy chicken with cashew nuts), deep fried redfish (yay, I finally got them to order some fish!) and bami goreng noodles.
It was very delicious and we got some calendars and a bottle of plum wine! Every Chinese restaurant gives out calendars around New Years Eve ... weird...

My mum and I had to take the train there ... we invited my other grandma to the restaurant and that means, we were 6 persons. There's only room for 5 in the car, so my mum offered to go by train. Because I'm nice and we don't have that much time together anymore, I went with her.

It was quite a brilliant idea, because after lunch, when everyone was driving home, us two headed for the Christmas market and got some hot wine punch and candy AND she bought me a cute candle holder, which was reduced. It was really great with her.

Apropos presents. I've told you, I was going to show you my presents right? I admit, I love getting presents! But I also love making them and seeing the happy faces (which I couldn't, because everyone is of course with his or her family, how it's right!). Sadly, I didn't take any pictures of the ones, I made.
Well, here's what I got:

Some books, of course. No Christmas without them.

The first Professor Layton (quite old already, I know). I think it's my parents way to tell me to use my brains more often.^^

Present from LauLau. It's so lovely and I've already worn the bracelet two days in a row (well of course not while sleeping...)

Present from Mina. She got quite a lot cute things this year and I think, she bought LauLau and me some kind of a couple present. But you know, what's too bad? I've already gotten the cookie mirror before. Now I've got one for every eye. :)

And of course:

Not a year without it!

I've also gotten some clothes, but I don't feel like sharing my nightgown with the world.
Oh right, and of course the camera.
Ha ... yeah ... I really love getting presents.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone! It's the evening of December, 25th and that means, Christmas is over for 2/3! Tommorrow is the 2nd Christmas Day and that's it for 2011.
Oh wait!! If we've got really bad luck, this was the very last Christmas EVER, because ... you know ... next year... 2012... oh my. I think I should drink some more Kahlua Milk...

So far, Christmas was quite nice. No one was crying, everybody liked their present and my grandma is as grumpy as always. Christmas in my family...

The 24th was really relaxing! Most years, usually almost one of us is freaking out, because he (yeah ... it's always my dad) forgot to buy presents. But this year he got them on the 22nd! Wow!

So yeah, my mum and I were cooking ... because for Christmas Eve we always make some special dinner, that's different every year. Last year we had Shabu Shabu, this year we had different things.

Nikuman, Saté-Picks, Potatoesalad, Filled Mushrooms and Crabcroquette! It was really delicious! The potatoesalad was made by my granny. I've told her like A WEEK ago, she shouldn't make too much, because we had lot of other things. She promised me, to make only a bit. Yesterday at lunch time, I've remembered her again und she said once again, yes she only made little bit.
Then she presented us with this big bowl of potatoe salad and I've asked her:
"Granny, why did you make that much?? I've told you, there'd be plenty of other things!"
And she said:
"Well, if I'm taking the time to make it, I'm also making a whole bowl!"
Like we've never had the conversation before! It's so typical of her and so annoying!!!! What's wrong with you old lady?!
Anyway, food was oishii.

By the way, this is our Christmas tree.

Isn't it beautiful!! The top is a bit leaning, but apart from that, it's perfect! Lots of the Christmas tree balls, I've brought from Japan, but some are really old and still made from glass. They're quite expensive and my mum won't let me handle them ... I don't know why, but she thinks, I'm a bit clumsy...

And this is the tree with it's lights on:

And these are the presents. Next year we need to get some fake big ones, to give the tree a more appealing look.

Today was the 25th! The actual CHRISTMAS!!! In Germany, we open our presents on Christmas Eve, so actually 25th, is not that special to us ... well, anyway, here's what I wore!

A little bit Lolita, but not perfect ... I'm only wearing Bodyline (gotta mix the "brands" more) and I was too lazy to actually make my hair, so I've just made a bun. I also don't have a white petticoat, although it should have arrived here ages ago! Damn it!
And today we also had the real Christmas Dinner (well, lunch here), which is so complicated. I really hate rosting poultry, it never works the way I want it to. This year was duck... Next year we gotta get a goose again.

It's a Julia Child recipe for the duck, grandma's recipe for the cabbage, commercial dumblings and American cranberry sauce. It wasn't perfect, but really delicious.

Tomorrow, we're going for Chinese, what we do every year since I remember. It's a weird tradition, that I think, a lot German families are sharing with us.
I've also forgot to make pictures of the presents, I'll do that tomorrow!
But you can see one... a new camera! I'm SO HAPPY!!!!!

By the way, I've finished my book report a week early. I'm so proud of myself. T_T

Democracy and Oligarchy

Today in college we've learned the differences of democracy and oligarchy (everything else, that's not democracy) ... not specifically what they are, because we all know that, but how they emerged in Ancient Greece. It was really interesting and my prof is so into the topic, he makes it actually quite fun!
Like today, he told the story of a people's spokesperson, who was going to be executed. But the night before he was so drunk, that he couldn't leave his house and the people murdered someone else, who they thought was him. The next day, they realized they got the wrong guy and the right one was still there!
Lucky guy... he lived because he drank too much.

Anyway, I think this might be a possible topic for our examination in February. Differences between the two things, maybe with the examples of Athens and Sparta. Hm, wouldn't be all too bad, I think I could do it...

Disney on Ice 2011: Princesses and Heroes

So, yesterday was the day of Disney on Ice! I wasn't as curious as last year, because the theme was princesses and I really thought it would be to cheesy for me.
What I didn't think of ... less big-headed costumes and more princesses means more serious figure skating! IT WAS AMAZING!!!
There were some costumes like the dwarfs or Lumiere and of course they can't do anything, they have to keep their balance, right? But the boys and girls, who were just in fancy clothes, they could show all their strength!
A bit funny were the "small" characters ... like the dwarfs or Lumiere or Fabius and Sebastian and so on ... they're all taller than everyone else!! Except for Aladdin's Abu, because he was fake... so was Aladdin ... I don't mean to sound rude, but there's no way that guy and Yasmin were somehow Near East related... after all they were Asians.

I didn't take any pictures, because I had my video camera with me, so I'll make a video soon! But here are some official pictures from other sites:

And then my mom bought me this:

Weee, thank you Mama!! It was my very first snow cone! But it wasn't as expensive as in this picture... In was just like 7 Euro, not 15 Dollars ... Jeez, in the US they really skin Disney lovers...

A little ita

So, a few weeks ago, a new Subarashi package arrived ... you know ... the shop, I'm working for?

And usually the packages got some great stuff in it (too bad, I don't fit into the punk clothes, they're awesome!) but this time ... there was an Ita outfit for everyone ... like the classic: a black dress with white lace. So ugly!
I've already spoken to my boss and she said I could alter it any way I want to, but first I have to present it the way it is. I've really tried to explain to her how embarassing this kind of dress is, that nobody would wear it and that it's so old-fashioned ... but she said, that most dresses they sell are black. Oh my. I guess it can't be helped.

So this is the dress:

I really have to say ... we got so many of this black&white dresses, but mine is still the ugliest ... by far.
I still tried to rock the dress ... I mean, a pretty girl can wear anything, right?
Please don't judge me on this, I'm just doing my job here...

But I'm still going to alter it. Away with this white ribbons and lace and ruffles, yak!

In the first picture, you can see my very first Lolita shoes! They're a bit too small, so I guess they're going to be picture shoes and next time I'm going to buy a size bigger.

I've also bought this today:

Christmastime always means reading to me! I've wanted a book series and I had the choice between the Inkheart trilogy, the Narnia series and this one. Narnia was REALLY expensive and the other two were reduced to a payable price, so I only had to decide between them. I've seen the first Inkheart movie and so I kinda know, what it's about. I have no idea about Panem, I only know, there'll be a movie next year. So I've decided to read the books, before the movie ruins it for me (kinda like LOTR...)

I hope, I'll like it! First I have to finish this one:

Gotte read faster...

So boring, so boring... and a little Lolita

What can I say?? I REALLY WANT TO BLOG MORE! But I don't know what I can talk about...
Currently, my whole life is just so boring.
Studying, training, rehearsal, studying, training, rehearsal, studing, traning reharsal, sting, tring, resal ... oi vey

IT'S JUST SO BORING!!!
Talking about university really isn't that interesting at all. I have to read a lot and when I'm done with that, I have to read some more...
In my Ancient World seminar we're currently talking about the conflict between Octavian and Antonius, which rings no bells in your mind, right?
It's actually not that bad at all... the main point is all about women during that time and I also have to read this book:

Which is quite good. So far, I've read like 1/3 of the book but I'll keep reading, so next weekend I'll be through half way.

In my Middle Ages seminar we're always talking about the 14th century, which is the topic. Currently we're talking about epidemics. It's really interesting, but also extremely disgusting, too.
Did you know, that the big Black Death epidemic, that killed like 1/3 of the European people, very likely wasn't the Black Death, but another much more dangerous desease.

Most people don't like history, but when you look at it from another point of view, it's often like solving ancient mysteries!

What else?
Oh right! I'll be going to Disney on Ice!! I'm so happy! I'm sure I'll be like the oldest "kid" but it doesn't matter to me.

This year's theme is "Princesses and Heroes", which sounds really cheesy and for girls.

I don't like the "Disney Princesses" concept very much, because I think a girl should slay her own dragons, but what the heck!
I'm sure the music will be great and there'll be some awesome iceskating involved! I hope they'll have Stitch, he always makes my day, but I doubt it... he's not very princessy...

I've also had a new Lolita shooting. It's Classic Lolita again and I feel like they're trying to pigeonhole me as a certain age type.

I really want to wear Sweet Lolita, too!! I'm still a girl! Please stop dressing me like a matron. Not always classic, not always dark colors, not always weird sleeve lengths! Please, either a JSK or an OP ... not these middle sleeves, I never know if I have to wear a blouse or not!
Ha well ... at least, I've managed to get a cute Country Lolita dress ... but it's almost December, damn it! oO

Kanon x Kanon in Berlin

Last week's Friday, I've attended another very interesting event!
Kanon x Kanon were in Berlin for their Europe tour kanonxkanonxkanon and I was there!

Kanon x Kanon are Wakeshima Kanon and Kanon from An Cafe. I didn't know much about them, but I had a Wakeshima Kanon CD before and decided, it would be fun to go!

It was SO cold - first minus degress this winter - but there were so many girls, dressed as lolita, waiting outside. They must have the greates heat inside their bodies, because I was wearing triple layers and still freezing!
Luckily we were able to go inside really quickly, where I bough a Kanon x Kanon T-shirt (so cute!) and ... for no reason whatsoever ... bismark doughnuts (Why are they called bismark?? In Germany, they're called Berliner and in Berlin pancakes ... funny, huh?).

Concert started of really great. Wakeshima Kanon-chan started with a 30 minute solo performance, filled with songs from her two albums. She worked really hard and did her best, but she had cought a cold and somehow her energy was a little low. But that's alright! I mean, she was ill and still went on stage and looked gorgeous!

Then it was Kanon-san's part ... and it was a little weird. He wasn't singing or playing bass, he was just the DJ, standing behind his laptop, playing Anime videos with techno for half an hour. It was really weird ... and loud.

FINALLY, they appeared togeth for the last 30 minutes! She sang different songs with him playing bass and they were also dancing and covering anime songs. It was really great!
I totally love "Dolls" ... or what the name was...

I'm a little sad Kanon-chan hat only two outfits ... she should have worn more, because she always looks beautiful!

You can check a few impressions here! Lau.chan and I made this video together (well, again, I'm behind the camera, when she's speaking...):

Some purchases and the New Morning Musume 2012

Yay, I finally made time for another post!

This is my 4th week of college and I'm really busy. I don't have that many classes, but the homework's intense! My free days are Wednesday and Friday, but I can't enjoy them. I spend the whole day by sitting at my desk and read, write or look up stuff. Most people don't seem to understand ... they think "Wow, you only have classes on three days the week! I want that, too!" I may be in college only three days, but I'm working 5-6 days every week like everybody else.
Only good thing, only three days a week, I have to share the bathroom with hundreds of others.

What else? OH RIGHT!

I got some cute stuff! This is my fat squirrel:

My ma bought it for me, because it's so cute. I actually have enough of these plushies ... but I can't resist a fat animal plushie. >< I now have a fat cow, a fat whale (of course), a fat snowman and now the fat squirrel too! Unbelieveable all the fatness...

I also got a new wallet. My old one was already really in pieces but since I've got in during my months in Japan, I never wanted to give it up.
But I had to ... I got another cute wallet:

Ha, so cute! Lately I'm getting lots of stuff in pink...

I also got the new Morning Musume calendar!!! No pics though ... I'm getting it for Christmas and so I'm not allowed to see it yet, but that's what it's looking like:

Yeah, Zukki, Aika, Eripon!! My favourites all in one row! I'm a Momusu fan for over 6 years now and I was really scared about all the graduations, but I found new favourites in Erina and Kanon, who are both kinda really stupid that you just have to love them!!! I also got to like Sayu lately. I hated her, when she was that super narcisstic but she's changed and Risa, of course, is adorable, too.
Problem is ... I miss Ai-chan too much. Eri was bad ... but with Ai-chan gone, something's MISSING!!! I can't ignore the fact that I'm struggeling in liking Momusu the way I did before her graduation. I just hope the new single will be great, so I'll fall in love all over again... I just hope, there won't be any more graduations soon.

Have you heard the new album "12, Smart" yet?? It's so awesome!

I really like the songs "Ok Yeah", "My Way" and "Silver no Udedoki". Next album has a bitte task.
